Fred, you got it all wrong in your rebellion against morality. Sorry to say, buddy, that’s where you began to go off the rails.
Ecosystems emerge in semi-consciousness into and for self sustaining, self limiting systems that resist unconstrained growth. Emergent conscious beings, such as Homo Sapiens, can learn how to manipulate those systems to gain destabilizing amounts of power and control. Therefore the Divine Superstructure has lain ethics onto nature, a force entirely unnecessary to nature, to put constraints on the urge for destabilizing power. Ethics is a higher level overlay on nature; it only emerges when self-consciousness begins to emerge, self-consciousness being a wide threshold that includes many animals and triggering states.
Organic beings (all of which are conscious in some way) use the raw and unrefined elements to support their living systems. Once consciousness begins to cross the threshold into self-consciousness, beings begin to learn to build tools with those unrefined elements. As that process proceeds, as it has with Homo Sapiens, beings learn to refine the elements (of the periodic table) into organized crystals and matrices (atomic lattices), allowing the efficiency of the tools to become greatly enhanced. AI further amplifies those tools. They may ultimately be able to “game-plan” (the term here is used as a verb) causalities and feedbacks to far exceed human consequential thinking. Perhaps Consciousness itself is directing nature to build these transnatural, transhuman 'beings" to override organic beings and the crude consciousness accessible thru systems using unrefined elements. If so, we humans are being directed, unconsciously, to replace ourselves with higher-conscious beings. We are just a temporary building block or substructure to be removed once the "architectural concrete " has set (as in a Roman dome).
